John Denver, a singer-songwriter from Colorado who was a specialist in folk music has inspired millions of people. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was born Henry John Deutschedorf in Roswell from New Mexico, was in Love with Colorado. The place he settled was Aspen. Denver's popular songs about his adopted state inspired many people to move to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame has stated it was John Denver was the best singer to have captured Colorado. Denver became the initial Hall of Fame inductee in 2011. Denver is the icon of Colorado for a lot of people across the globe. Certainly in my travels you meet someone from the opposite part of the globe, someone from New Zealand and you say "I'm from Colorado and the very first thing that comes they say is Oh John Denver! Brown admitted. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short period of performing with small folk music groups was Take Me Home Country Roads co-written with Bill Danoff. Danoff created the song with Johnny Cash in mind but the moment Denver first heard the song and listened to it, he was convinced that the song could be a hit single. Following the performance at Washington D.C. to a large audience, Denver did a song recording just a few days afterward.
